Andrew Lovelady, DVM

Dr. Lovelady has more than 20 years experience practicing as a veterinarian. He graduated from Auburn University College of Science and Mathematics in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, and he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine (AUCVM) in 2004. His postgraduate work includes earning a Masters of Biomedical Science and completing a residency in Theriogenology at AUCVM.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Lovelady has spent equal amounts of time in clinical and academic settings. Additionally, he is a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists, specializing in animal reproduction. He has served as assistant professor at Auburn University’s College of Agriculture and Tuskegee University working with food animals and large animals at both of these settings. He has also worked in private practice as an associate veterinarian at both a mixed animal and a small animal clinic.

Although Dr. Lovelady has a personal passion for reproduction and raising cattle, he truly is a mixed animal practitioner at heart and thoroughly enjoys practicing medicine and surgery on both large and small animals. He is a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, the Society for Theriogenology, and the American College of Theriogenologists.

Dr. Lovelady has been happily married to his wife, Lisa, since 2005. They are the proud parents of four daughters, Aubrey, Carly, Emmy, and Gracey. He is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Reeltown. When he is not busy practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Lovelady enjoys spending as much time as possible on Lake Martin. He also farms Bermuda hay and SimAngus cattle.

We look forward to meeting you and your pets and welcoming you to our family!
